Dream Fulfilled

Staring at the big expanse of the night sky
With just a shiny twinkle in her eye
She dreamed of going into space
The lovely thought beamed across her face

She desired to explore without a care
Discover the mysteries it would bare
To visit the stars in galaxies far away
To go beyond the distant Milky Way

Her hand reached out but could not grasp
The dream of a universe so vast
But it was her pure heart’s only desire
To dwell where only minds can aspire

Indeed as she lay her head down to sleep
She smiled knowing she had a secret to keep
That deep in slumber where no man has gone
She had her own universe, her moon, her sun.
