The Stallion

Across the fields I run wild and free
As far as my brown eyes can see
Beyond the shadows of long-limbed trees
Running past the blowing breeze.

My long hair whips the back of my neck
My slender legs know no distance
Mountains, valleys, I will trek
I know not of forbearance.

My breast heaves as I gallop through
Upon the smooth sand at shore
I take in all the sunset’s hue
I shall run forevermore.
